36 passenger planes crash in Pakistan history
 ISLAMABAD: Bhoja Airlines' plane crash in which 116 passengers and 9 crew lost their lives was the 36th incident of passenger planes in Pakistan. Prior to this incident 705 people were dead in 35 airspace incidents.
The current airplane incident was the third mishap of any private airlines in Islamabad.
A small plane had crashed in Karachi on November 28, 2010, killing twelve people.
According to the world record of airspace incidents, Pakistan's major plane crash occurred on July 28, 2010 at Margala Hills in which 152 people were dead.
In 2006, a fokker plane of PIA crashed near Multan airport which claimed 45 lives. Fokker planes were restricted to fly after the incident.
