Asian Sprint Queen Naseem announces retirement


Former Pakistani athlete and Asian sprint queen Naseem Hameed has announced her retirement from athlete.

Naseem Hameed, 24, said that persisting injury kept her away from national and international events which cause to her retirement.

The Asian sprint queen said that she was setting up an academy in Korangi, Karachi, where she would herself train athletes.

Hameed begged a gold medal in 100-meter race in SAF Games 2010 were held in Bangladesh. After begging the medal, Hameed got the title of 'Asian Sprint Queen' and appreciation.
