Imran demands PM Gilani’s resignation

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Thursday said that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani should immediately resign from his position after being convicted by the Supreme Court (SC).
“After SC judgement PM has lost whatever shred of legal & moral authority he had. He must resign immed & ECP must notify his 5 year disqual,” Imran Khan wrote on Twitter.
Imran also wrote that the PTI will always stand by the law and SC. He said that his party will not accept any political defiance and ridicule of SC’s decisions.
The PTI leader also said the rule of law and independence of judiciary must be upheld.
